What to Expect
Depart from Belize City heading 30 miles due north. As you proceed your guide will interpret the area you passing and talk as well of the History of Belize. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, a short stop is made at the warden’s office where a brief history of the Sanctuary is given by the warden himself also its restroom break as well appx.30 mins. Then we go meet with our boat captain who is also a knowledgeable bird guide who will take us on the lagoon (Appx.2 hrs) to enjoy the resident and migratory birds in the Sanctuary. When the tour in the lagoon is over we stop for lunch at a local restaurant in the Sanctuary. Lunchtime (app. 1 hr). After lunch, we walk in the Sanctuary visiting some local residences in the area and learning about the Cashew experience in the village (Sanctuary) After the tour we depart for your connection to the hotel.
